Capstone and Built-rite squared off at Alice Nobile Ice Arena on Sunday, September 27, 2026, and the evening saw Capstone come out on top 5–4. John Reynolds drew first blood for Built-rite in the 1st period, setting the tone for an absolute goal-fest.

Period by period: the teams traded 1 apiece in the 1st period; the teams traded 1 apiece in the 2nd period; Capstone took the 3rd period by a 3–2 count. The lead changed hands 3 times — grab some popcorn. Capstone managed the night's only back-to-back tallies.

On the scoresheet, Doug Horst (2G, 0A), Harrison Brown (1G, 1A), Chris Parker (1G, 1A) chipped in multi-point nights. The rest of the roster contributed moral support and timely line changes.

Elsewhere: Doug Horst gets the game-winner credited to their name, courtesy of the 3rd period; shots finished Capstone 30, Built-rite 28 — the Built-rite netminder was the busier of the two.
