Ports Petroleum and Capstone squared off at Alice Nobile Ice Arena on Sunday, October 4, 2026, and the evening saw Ports Petroleum come out on top 5–2. Harrison Brown drew first blood for Capstone in the 1st period, setting the tone for a lively night of scoring.

Period by period: Capstone took the 1st period by a 1–0 count; Ports Petroleum took the 2nd period by a 2–0 count; Ports Petroleum took the 3rd period by a 3–1 count. The score was tied 2 times, because neither team could stand to let the other enjoy anything. At one point Ports Petroleum rattled off 3 unanswered goals, a run that had the opposing bench staring at their skates.

On the scoresheet, Gary Rader (1G, 3A), Greg Stell (0G, 2A) chipped in multi-point nights. The rest of the roster contributed moral support and timely line changes.

Elsewhere: Wesley Madison gets the game-winner credited to their name, courtesy of the 3rd period; shots finished Ports Petroleum 29, Capstone 31 — the Ports Petroleum netminder was the busier of the two; Ports Petroleum made themselves a little too familiar with the penalty box (1–0).
