Freeman and Capstone squared off at Alice Nobile Ice Arena on Sunday, October 11, 2026, and the evening saw Capstone come out on top 2–6. Doug Horst drew first blood for Capstone in the 1st period, setting the tone for an absolute goal-fest.

Period by period: Capstone took the 1st period by a 2–1 count; Capstone took the 2nd period by a 2–1 count; Capstone took the 3rd period by a 2–0 count. The score was tied 2 times, because neither team could stand to let the other enjoy anything. At one point Capstone rattled off 4 unanswered goals, a run that had the opposing bench staring at their skates.

On the scoresheet, Bryce Possten (2G, 2A), Mike Reynolds (1G, 1A) chipped in multi-point nights. The rest of the roster contributed moral support and timely line changes.

Elsewhere: Adam Keating gets the game-winner credited to their name, courtesy of the 2nd period; shots finished Freeman 22, Capstone 24 — the Freeman netminder was the busier of the two.
